Even if you’ve never worked a day in your life, chances are you have at least a passing acquaintance with a hanging file. For those of us who spend our days (and sometimes nights) in an office, the hanging file is practically an extension of our fingertips. We’re constantly sorting, stuffing, flipping through and mangling those folders, wrangling them into cabinets and swearing every time one of those little plastic tabs falls off or the metal “hanger” tears through the folder and leaves everything in a sagging pile at the bottom of the cabinet. What’s an oddity? Well, it’s something that you just about… almost… but not quite… recognize. You’ve seen it somewhere before… haven’t you? Well, you’ve seen something sort of like it, but an oddity is a little different. An oddity is a product that at first glance looks like other products you’ve seen hundreds of times before but there’s something… odd about it. And when finally you put your finger on it, you realize that the odd thing is that it’s a product that works. In this day and age, when we’re bombarded with commodity products that fly off assembly lines in a one-size-fits-all gob of mediocrity, finding a product that works for you and with you, the way you want it to, is really just odd. In a good way.
